The world is there for me to change, someday, somehow, I'm going to leave my mark on it.

Pocatello/Gold Bug
I can honestly say I've had one of the most amazing weekends I've had in quite some time.
It started w/ a trip to Pocatello, Idaho to visit some wonderful friends. While I was there one of them was in labor and part of our trip was spent in the hospital waiting for their first son's arrival. The little buggar decided to not make his appearance until the day after I had left, but I was really hoping to get to meet him before I left for Alaska.
For anyone like myself that's not spent any time in them since their own birth - Labor & Delivery departments of a hospital are a very unique and amazing experience in themselves. A woman came in screaming in pain, then after an hour or so there was a new life there that had not been there before, and he was most certainly doing some crying of his own.
AMAZING.
After leaving Pocatello I decided to take the longer but more scenic route home.
As I was driving I thought I was close to a new adventure I've always wanted to partake in. After some quick research on my phone (seriously, this is why I cussing love smart phones) I decided if I could find the trailhead, it HAD to happen. So after some deductive reasoning I found myself on private property, but at the trailhead for Gold Bug hot springs.
AMAZING.

Glory Hole
Yup. I went there.
Bosco & I started this random Wednesday off trying to find a hike in the Seeley-Swan area but we were shut down 4 times. Twice for too much snow on the road to the trailhead and twice because of Forest Service shutdowns of the road due to 'soft road conditions.'
So I continued down the road in search of trails and ended up extending my drive to the Hungry Horse reservoir. A smidge out of the way, I know, but when one finds themselves leaving Montana soon, it's completely worth the gas on a day off.
I've always thought that late spring would be the perfect time to see the Glory Hole (good luck Googling that one if you don't know what I'm talking about) (wait, Mom, Dad, PLEASE, DO NOT Google 'glory hole'). I was sadly disappointed when I arrived and saw how far away the water was from flowing into this outflow.
It takes more than a dry glory hole to get me down on a beautiful sunny Montana spring day. Bosco & I jumped back in the Baja and down the road an additional 14 miles to Glacier.
Since most of the roads are still closed and dogs are not allowed on hiking trails here, Bosco & I basked in the rare warm spring sun on the dock of Lake McDonald while munching on cheese and crackers.
We finished the day by surprising my in-laws for dinner in Kalispell before chasing the sunset home.

Goodbye Mac
Well Mac, it's been fun. You've been a good little computer over the years, but it's time you go [out in style].
