Garnett was a small mining town outside of Missoula the boomed in the Montana gold rush of the 1800s. What remains of it today is a well preserved skeleton of the living breathing soul the town once was.
Having driven past the forest service road leading to the town [literally] hundreds of times I decided today was the day to stroll along the winding paths of the town and discover a little bit about its rich history. If you're a history buff, it's well worth the afternoon to check this little gem out.
