Stuck

Debbie popped her head into my room this morning & asked if I wanted to go on an adventure w/ her today. Never one to turn down an adventure, I happily agreed, threw on my snow pants, & packed one of my day packs. We packed the pups into her truck & headed towards the Morrell Falls trailhead.
Montana. Where even bad days aren't that bad.
Fast forward 2 hours & Deb's truck is stuck in about 2 1/2 ft of snow on the side of a forest service road ~8 miles up. That was around 1:30 pm.

The "adventure" that ensued over the next 5 hours contained low of shoveling, breaking that shovel, running about 3 miles down the snowy road to meet a tow truck (at least I didn't have to run on my tiny track today!), getting the tow truck stuck, getting the tow truck unstuck, hiking back up the mountain, more shoveling of Deb's tacoma, a slight bout of swearing, & finally, just before dark, the freeing of both trucks & returning to normal roads. Did I mention that on the way back out we saw a sign restricting all vehicles other than snow mobiles on the read & that we were there illegally in the first place? That would of saved us some time... $*%@
Chains, sand bags, and 5hrs of digging... just another Montana adventure

Don't you love playing in the snow? Nearing the end of February and we haven't had much here in the Midwest. It's not my idea of winter.

Like the pics!
