Shane's semi-pro football team, the Bitterroot Blaze, we champions of the Rocky Mountain Football League's Montana division. They lost only to one team in the regular season and thus began the 4 week road to the championship. Along the way they faced some good teams, but ultimately played a better game & this weekend we traveled to Boise, ID for the championship game against the Matadors. Shane has been playing in semi-pro leagues for the last 13 years and has never walked away w/ the championship title.
Not only did the Blaze defeat the Matadors, Shane was also named game MVP.
While winning the championship game was the highlight of the trip, the whole experience was a fun on. Shane's brother, Brandon, and is family traveled 10 1/2 hours for the game as well.
We took his nieces to see the Pixar movie Brave (I miss my nieces & nephews), visited a new brewery (Ram Brewery), & toured Zoo Boise.
